So here we are - R&B Hipshakers - Teach Me To Monkey - Nothing to do with the Hipshakers club in Portsmouth, ,but a new CD released from those Latin Soulsters Vampi Soul. R&B tracks released from the King and Federal Vaults - Most tracks never been released !! This CD is first rate, it starts with a guitar/organ belter with Willie Wright & His Sparklers and Gibble Gobble, then we get into more familiar territory, Hank Ballard and a groover called Broadway, then the next few tracks already comped by Aces output Lula Reed (which is a fantastic track anyway - check out Aces Tiny Topsy and Lula Reed Cd), Little Willie John - Nerves (similar to Im Shakin). Lloyd Nolan, and the 5 Royales all on Aces CDs (Little Wilie John, Kings New Breed R&B or the 5 Royales Cds - all great tracks).

In the course of his stage career Martin Sasse has worked with nearly all legends in the international jazz scene and Sasse himself ranks as one of the most outstanding jazz pianists in Europe…

This Horace Silver CD compilation is yet another in the series of unauthorized reissues by the European bootleg label Giants of Jazz. With a dozen selections taken from five separate sessions originally recorded by the pianist for Blue Note, it is a good cross section of his early dates as a leader, though the mediocre sound, with its unexpected channel shifts and dropouts, is extremely annoying.

CD album reissue of the original recording published in 1966 by the Canadian jazz pianist and composer Oscar Peterson (Montreal, 1925-2007). Peterson was called the "Maharaja of the keyboard" and went on to win eight Grammy awards during his career. In this album he added to his usual trio, with bassist Sam Jones and drummer Louis Hayes, a superb Latin rhythm section, including Marshall Thompson, Harold Jones and Henley Gibson. The title is really misleading. This music is not Spanish, but Brazilian soul.
