Jon Larsen is a jazz musician who was heavily influenced by the music of Frank Zappa. The Jimmy Carl Black Story is the second time he had worked with "the Indian of the group", Jimmy Carl Black. This album ended up being one of the last projects Black did, and the concept of the album seems to be based on what was his inevitable departure from the planet. This was released by Zonic Entertainment/Hot Club.
