First off. There isn’t a moment on this CD, whatever the mood or tempo, that doesn’t swing. And it’s a deep intuitive swing: take, for example, the a cappella chorus that begins WHEN I GROW TOO OLD TO DREAM. With all due respect to the instrumental accompaniment — a fine band — Becky and Nicki are swinging in the best understated but authentic Basie manner when they utter the first syllable. And their voices — alternatively lighter, darker, flying, trading places in mid-air — go together perfectly, whether they are alternating phrases within a song, singing in unison or harmonizing.

Rural Retreat West Virginia, on the old Virgin Creeper Line, was the subject of one of O.Winston Link's famous "train" pics of whom MC is a huge fan. We made the pilgrimage on one of our US road trips hence the name.

Dave Matthews Band Live Trax Vol. 36: Alpine Valley 3-CD Set + Bonus 8 Track Live CD On July 26, 2015, the second night of a two-night run, Dave Matthews Band played their 29th show at Alpine Valley Music Theatre. A highlight of the 2015 Summer Tour, the show will be released in its entirety as Live Trax 36, a 3-CD set. Following the two set format of the summer tour, showcases the playfully intimate acoustic set. The show kicks off with three solo selections by Dave: Beach Ball, Belly Full and the recent return of Let You Down - the song's second full performance since 1997. Tim and Carter then join Dave on stage for a percussive rendition of Oh. Additional standouts of this first set include a powerful The Stone, and an acoustic set debut of Cry Freedom. The evening's electric second set, runs the gamut of the band's lengthy career.

Sun Vanishes: Birth Of The Six Strings God is a 1999 2CD Cream bootleg of a show recorded in Detroit, Michigan, United States at the Grande Ballroom on 15 October, 1967. It is a soundboard recording. This CD was released by the Mid Valley label.
