The Last Days of Disco is a clever, comic return to the nighttime party scene in early eighties Manhattan from director Whit Stillman (Metropolitan). At the center of the film’s roundelay of revelers are the icy Charlotte (Kate Beckinsale) and the demure Alice (Chloë Sevigny), by day toiling as publishing house assistants and by night looking for romance and entertainment at a premier, Studio 54-like club. The Curse is an American satirical black comedy television series created and written by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie, and starring Emma Stone, Fielder and Safdie. The series filmed from June to October 2022 and premiered on streaming and on-demand for all Showtime and Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers on November 10, 2023, before making its on-air debut on Showtime on November 12. John Medeski has announced The Curse (Music From the Showtime Original Series), which is out November 17 via Milan Records. The 52-song soundtrack to the new show from Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder, which co-stars Fielder and Emma Stone, was executive produced by regular Safdie collaborator Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never). The new release features the opening track and lead single “Fake Tears.”
