Tango Argentin

En hôtes exigeants, Eduardo Makaroff et Christoph H. Müller trient leurs invités sur le volet, avant de les accueillir Plaza Francia, croisement convivial et raffiné entre Paris et Buenos Aires. Pionniers de la réinvention électronique du tango avec le groupe Gotan Project au début des années 2000, les deux musiciens poursuivent leur exploration du tango argentin, dont la France a été très tôt un épicentre, et le demeure.

JC is a prison guard. He is an ordinary man with an uneventful life. His only extravagance is taking tango classes one night a week. One day, he meets a newcomer, Alice. The next day, surprisingly, he sees her again during prison visiting hours. She has come to see two inmates: one is her husband, the other her lover… Prison regulations prohibit socializing with inmates’ families. Strangely attracted to this free woman who doesn’t live by any rules, JC ends up breaking all the rules that guided his life up until they met.

At 2006, the virtuoso french accordionist Richard Galliano was invited by the Sinfonia Baltica Orchestra and its director Bohdan Jarmolowicz, to participate in a concert given at the famous University of Poznan, tribute to the argentinian "father" of the nouveau tango, Astor Piazzola. Galliano was accompanied by three soloists, the bandoneonist Wieslaw Przadka, the violinist (shrzypce) Tomasz Tomaszewski and the pianist Filip Wojcechowski. The repertoire of the concert included five emblematic Piazzola's works (Libertango, Oblivion, Fuga Y Misterio, Milonga En Ay Menor and Buenos Aires Hora O) and a superb work of Galliano, the Opale Concerto, composed in 1994 for the homonymous festival. Si la photo de la violoncelliste Ophélie Gaillard occupe en effet toute la couverture de ce double album, le contenu est autrement distribué parmi des dizaines d’artistes, dont beaucoup issus de la Musique populaire brésilienne, le tango argentin ou le folklore ibérique.

De tout temps, les Français ont aimé danser et aujourd’hui plus de cinq millions d’entre eux dansent régulièrement. Si chaque époque a son rythme, son style et ses pas, la danse fait depuis toujours partie de notre histoire. Qu’elle soit de salon, latine, traditionnelle ou moderne, la danse rassemble petits et grands, sans se soucier des milieux sociaux ou des origines. Elle témoigne d’une culture populaire commune. Elle est l’expression de nos joies, de nos modes de vie et elle révèle notre envie de partage et de vivre ensemble. "La France qui danse" illustre cette passion des Français pour la danse à travers les histoires de quatre personnages. Tous vont tenter à travers elle de réaliser leurs envies ou leurs rêves. A chacun son style ou ses capacités, mais dans leurs pas à tous, la joie, l’émotion et le plaisir de danser avec les autres…

Bientôt 5 ans que ces deux musiciens font la route ensemble, route qui a commencé lors d'une tournée en Argentine en 2011 !
