The second volume is about modal analysis, computational methods for large eigenvalue problems, analysis of frequency response data by nonparametric methods, identification of dynamic structural parameters, dynamic model reduction and test-analysis correlation.

This textbook represents the Mechanical Vibrations lecture course given to students in the fourth year at the Department of Engineering Sciences (now F.I.L.S.), English Stream, University Politehnica of Bucharest, since 1993.

Now in an updated second edition, this classroom-tested textbook describes essential concepts in vibration analysis of mechanical systems.The second edition includes a new chapter on finite element modeling and an updated section on dynamic vibration absorbers, as well as new student exercises in each chapter.
