The Darkness

Beyond the Darkness is an anthology of the second half of the career of the Italian band Goblin, best known for its propulsive scores for Italian film director Dario Argento.
Combining elements of progressive psychedelia with jazz-rock, Eastern European folk music and the Baroque, Goblin’s music remains an eerie one-off.

Danish extreme metallers ILLDISPOSED was released their new album, "Sense The Darkness", on September 21 via Massacre Records. The CD is currently being recorded at Antfarm Studio in Aabyhøj, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (MOONSPELL, DARK TRANQUILLITY, GOREFEST, SICK OF IT ALL).

From writing of riffs. to composition and balance of sound. 2012 Baptism radiates the confidence of its mastermind to combine freezing melancholy. cold razor sharp fierce aggression. traditions of heavy black metal and atmospheric dark melodies.

The beauty of the Darkness' approach is that their pop side and cock rock side pretty much come from the same inclination: get listeners moving. In that sense, this album will continue to draw the band well-earned comparisons to Queen – which speaks mainly to the band's songwriting and musicianship. And while Hawkins does have Freddie Mercury's vocal range, his sweet lyricism often sounds tonally more like a mix of Queen guitarist Brian May's voice and ELO's Jeff Lynne.

"Permission to Land" is the debut studio album released by British hard rock band The Darkness. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 7 July 2003 and in the United States on 5 August 2003. The album topped the UK Albums Chart and reached number thirty-six on the American Billboard 200 chart.
