Although Tangerine Dream is usually associated with synthesizers and the ambient movement that followed over a decade after such albums as Phaedra, Stratosfear, and Rubycon were recorded, Force Majeure shows the band displaying its roots in space rock. This time around, guitar and drums (played by Klaus Krieger) are as prominent as the keyboards. As the name would appear to indicate, the music on the album doesn't seem played so much as propelled forward, the overall pace rarely slackening for long. The title track is a suite that incorporates several distinct themes that segue into a cohesive whole via musical bridges…

"Antique Dreams" is a set of some of the best unused material from Tangerine Dream's vaults. The recording dates are from 1971 through 1990, inclusive. That covers most of their stronger eras. The pieces from the early '70s have wild avant-garde and rock & roll timbres. The other tracks match their eras as well. This CD is lots of fun - it is more engaging than their best-of collections and it runs through the band's history. It is essential e-music.

Dusty Fingers is the name of a series of compilation records of songs that are widely admired as breakbeats collected by Bronx DJ Danny Dann the Beat Mann. Some of the songs featured contain "open breaks" which are solo drum passages which enable DJs to easily transition into them. These are also attractive to producers, who loop or rearrange them to create new compositions. Following in the tradition of the Ultimate Breaks and Beats series, the Dusty Fingers records contain an eclectic range of musical styles: mainly funk and jazz, but also including soul, rock, disco, and pop. Many of the songs in the Dusty Fingers series have been sampled into new musical compositions, mainly by hip hop producers. Popular songs that sample songs from the Dusty Fingers series include "Guilty Conscience" by Eminem, "Find Your Wealth" by Nas, "Rowdy Rowdy" by 50 Cent, "Show Me What You Got" by Jay-Z, "Daydreamin'" by Lupe Fiasco, and "Dr. Carter" by Lil' Wayne.

Four tracks from their Soldier Field performances in Chicago are included as bonus features.

Writer and long-time band publicist Mick Houghton has curated Culture Bunker and has gained exclusive access to Julian Cope’s archive. On his second album, Boston folk singer-songwriter Anjimile relies almost entirely on acoustic guitar and his voice, sometimes manipulated and layered atop itself. The effect is mesmerizing on tracks like "The King," which sounds like a medieval choir bleeding emotion; then a seismic percussive rhythm—some unrelenting earthquake—rolls in. "What don't kill you/ Almost killed you/ What don't fill you/ Pains you, drains you/ The plague of our year/ The Black Death is here," he sings. It's heavy drama, and just one of Anjimile's observations on being a Black trans person in America.
