It's hard to believe that it was way back in 1990 when Magic Slim first hooked up with Blind Pig Records to record his legendary Gravel Road LP. Slim and his label are celebrating their twenty-year collaboration with the release of Raising The Bar, an outstanding collection of older and newer songs culled from Slim's vast repertoire. From R&B gems like "Breaking Up Somebody's Home" and Little Milton's "4:59 A.M." to Roosevelt Sykes' "Sunny Road Blues" and J.B. Lenoir's "Mama Talk To Your Daughter" to his own perennial crowd favorites, "Shame", "Do You Mean It" and "Treat Me The Way You Do", Slim once again proves that when it comes to complete mastery of the blues in all its aspects and truly genre defining power of performance, he has few if any equals on the scene today.

Director Nina Bader wants to shoot a film about love and sex and invites her actor-friends Hans and Marie for screen tests for a couple of days. For Nina love is not necessarily a matter of emotion – she is rather looking for an authentic depiction of sex. The intimate collaboration turns into experiments with film, love and bodies and finally has an impact on the private relationships between the three of them. It seems that the boundaries between acting and reality begin to disappear.

In late October, was held in Moscow Jubilee LINOLEUM-2010: the best animators working today have been viewed in the cinema "pioneer" from 28 to 31 October. All movies are created on the festival theme of "full recovery". By the way, the time of the LINOLEUM-2010 coincided with International Day of animation and in honor of this event, guests at the "Pioneer" will meet the stars from the world of art, culture and business. On the night of 30 to 31 October, you will see the most interesting cartoons from the competition and non-competitive program of the festival titled "Pioneering the night."

ANNA HOMLER, is a vocal, visual and performance artist based in Los Angeles. She has performed and exhibited her work in venues around the world. With a sensibility that is both ancient and post-modern, Homler sings in an improvised melodic language. Her work explores alternative means of communication and the poetics of ordinary things. She creates perceptual interventions by using language as music and objects as instruments. Since 1982 she has collaborated in America with composer/musicians Steve Moshier, David Moss, Ethan James, Steve Roden, and Steve Peters; and in Europe, with the Voices of Kwahn, Steve Beresford, Peter Kowald, Frank Schulte, Richard Sanderson, Geert Waegeman, and Sylvia Hallett, among others.
