It was engineered by Clay Blair (The War On Drugs) and features Thompson’s regular accompanists Michael Jerome (drums, percussion), Taras Prodaniuk (bass), and Bobby Eichorn (guitar).

After the American Civil War, Michael 'California' Random (Giuliano Gemma, A dollar marking Gun for Ringo), a soldier of the Union, is released from prison and goes to Missouri with his partner William (Miguel Bosé). But along the way, they are attacked by bandits and William is killed. California then decides to return the belongings of your friend to your family and help them fend off a band of outlaws.

The 1970s were banner years for Airto Moreira – not only because of his association with Chick Corea's Return to Forever and his work on wife Flora Purim's Milestone dates, but also, because of the generally superb work he did under Creed Taylor's supervision at CTI from 1972-74. One of the five-star gems that the Brazilian percussionist recorded for CTI was Fingers, which employs Purim on percussion and vocals, David Amaro on guitar, Hugo Fattoruso on keyboards and harmonica, Jorge Fattoruso on drums and Ringo Thielmann on electric bass. Produced by Taylor and recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's famous New Jersey studio, this LP demonstrates just how exciting and creative 1970s fusion could be. When Moreira and his colleagues blend jazz with Brazilian music, rock and funk on such cuts as "Wind Chant," "Tombo in 7/4" and "Romance of Death," the results are consistently enriching. Fingers is an album to savor.

"Fingers" is an album by Brazilian jazz drummer and percussionist Airto Moreira (who was credited simply as "Airto") featuring performances recorded in 1973 at Van Gelder Studio and released on Creed Taylor's CTI label. The album reached number 18 in the Billboard Jazz albums charts.

An honorable Hong Kong gangster returns after years of self-imposed exile, eager to pick up his business dealings where they left off. But, naturally, things are not as they were his girlfriend, best friend, and former boss have all shifted loyalties. A pedestrian entry in the gangster melodrama genre.
A popular theory with internet critics is that Quentin Tarantino ripped off much of the plot for his debut Reservoir Dogs from Ringo Lam’s City on Fire. So it would only seem fitting that a Hong Kong filmmaker would return the favor by lifting some elements from one of his movies. Hunting List is pretty brazen with this; a couple of sequences (most notably the finale) are done almost word-for-word as they were in the Tarantino-scripted True Romance. Other than that, there’s really not much of note in this Category III triad drama. There’s lots of sex and violence (they must have ordered the “extra juicy” squibs for this movie), but the acting is poor; everyone seems to be either crying, yelling or laughing maniacally. The biggest culprit is the plot, which is the whole tired “undercover cop in too deep” thing all over again, and still manages to not make much sense at all.
