US band Time Horizon was formed sometime after musicians Ralph Otteson and Bruce Gaetke started working on a project together back in 2004. At some point they had their own band-project going, and in 2011 they released their debut album "Living Water". "Transitions" is their sophomore effort, jointly released by the band's own label Angelic Noise Records and the US label Melodic Revolution Records. The band has spent the last four years writing and recording “Transitions” their follow up to the highly praised debut album. The band has also gone through some personal changes during the writing and recording process thus the meaning behind the name of the new album Transitions. The album also features some very special guest by members of Yes, Michael W. Smith, Glass Hammer and Proto-Kaw.

Judy Niemack is a gifted vocalist who moved to Europe to make her mark as a recording artist. Following a series of impressive releases for the now defunct Free Lance, she made this rewarding session for the German unit of Sony. Joined by an outstanding band that includes guitarist Jean Francois Prins (her husband), bassist Eddie Gomez, vibraphonist David Friedman, and percussionist Café, Niemack's wide-ranging choice of material and infectious voice keep things interesting, with many of the pieces having a "time" theme in their titles.

This audiophile-approved anthology, mastered and compiled by Steve Hoffman, is the only one to combine Chris Montez' Monogram and A&M recordings on one disc. The most comprehensive Montez anthology yet produced, All-Time Greatest Hits includes every one of his Top 100 hits and more. The program begins with Montez' early recordings as a Ritchie Valens protége purveying teen dance songs like "My Baby Loves to Dance" and "Let's Dance" (his biggest hit), as well as his Herb Alpert-produced adult contemporary hits of the mid-'60s. The latter include "Call Me" and "The More I See You," breezy confections with a laid-back party atmosphere and Montez' appealing boy-next-door vocals. Apart from the hits, "You're the One" is a duet with Kathy Young of "A Thousand Stars" fame, and the disc leads off with a personal message from Montez recorded in 1991…

This set from Rhino's Original Album Series collects five albums from British blues rockers Ten Years After. Spanning a four-year period between 1969 and 1972, this five-disc box covers what is considered the Nottingham-based group's more prolific and successful era. Beginning with their third studio album Ssssh (1969), the set also includes Cricklewood Green (1970) and Watt (1970) from their tenure on the Deram label. The following year, the band switched to Columbia and released A Space in Time (1971) and Rock & Roll Music to the World (1972), which round out this collection.

Produced with loving care by Claude Nobs, founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival, with no edits or overdubs, this document of Miles Davis's Montreux performances shows through never-before-released material how Miles and company transformed his music live, with their fire, invention, and interplay. The list of sidemen on these dates is a who's who of today's superstars, including saxophonist Dave Liebman, guitarists John Scofield and Robben Ford, keyboardists Adam Holzman and Kei Akagi, bassist Michael Henderson, and percussionist Mtume. Most of the music on these discs features versions of Davis's fusion "hits." The funky and R&B-ish ditty "Ife" and the bouncy "Calypso Frelimo" are rendered with more gusto than their studio versions, as are the in-the-pocket, mid-'80s tunes "Star People" and "New Blues." A package this big has more than a few surprises, however. Chaka Khan lends her powerful pipes to Davis's unique cover of the Michael Jackson sleeper, "Human Nature," and "Al Jarreau" is an upbeat (though too short) tribute to the great vocalise master.
