Ike & Tina Turner were an American musical duo consisting of husband and wife Ike Turner and Tina Turner. From 1960 to 1976, they performed live as the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, supported by Ike Turner's band the Kings of Rhythm and backing vocalists called the Ikettes. The Ike & Tina Turner Revue was regarded as "one of the most potent live acts on the R&B circuit."

"Foreign Affair" was one of the biggest albums of the '80s and showed Tina Turner at her best, further cementing her position as The Queen of Rock 'n Roll. A deluxe version of the album will be released on July 16, accompanied by vinyl and CD versions.

When Tina Turner passed away in May 2023, she left behind the legacy of a huge life's work. This new anthology looks back at her legendary solo career, which began almost 50 years ago. "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll" is a compilation of 55 tracks that takes us through her unique solo career via her singles. Starting with her cover version of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" from 1975 and ending with the Kygo remix of "What's Love Got to Do With It" from 2020, this is the first time her entire collection of singles has been released in one set.

IKE & TINA TURNER - BOLIC SOUND SESSIONS - Following the success of Ike & Tina Turner, Turner had the finances to create his own recording studio which he called Bolic Sound. The name Bolic derived from the maiden name of his then wife Tina Turner (née Bullock). The studio was previously a furniture store which Turner bought as a shell and had it fully renovated. The facilities began being used for Turner productions in 1970 before opening for business in March 1972. Billboard magazine described Bolic Sound as "one of the most ornate recording plants in the world." Bolic Sound eventually burnt to the ground under mysterious circumstances, but not before Ike produced a plethora of tracks for himself and Tina Turner. SUNSET BLVD RECORDS

One of the most dynamic performers in the history of popular music, Tina Turner was a powerhouse vocalist who won and lost fame in the 1960s and 1970s before a spectacular comeback in the 1980s made her an enduring superstar. Tina first made her name as an R&B shouter performing with her first husband, Ike Turner, and on early hits like "A Fool in Love" and "It's Gonna Work Out Fine," she displayed a passion and grit that easily stood up to one of America's tightest and powerful bands. Ike & Tina crossed over to the pop audience with their raucous cover of "Proud Mary," but their rising stardom came as Ike fell into drug addiction and violent spousal abuse. In 1976, Tina left Ike and went solo, and after years of struggle and reinvention, she struck gold with 1984's Private Dancer, which blended her fiery but versatile vocals with up-to-date production and became a multi-platinum success on the strength of the hit singles "What's Love Got To Do With It," "Better Be Good To Me," and the title track. Subsequent international touring reinforced her successful return to the spotlight and she would be a frequent visitor to the sales charts and a top live attraction through the rest of her career. Tina proved she was still a draw even after retirement, thanks to a successful jukebox musical based on her life and music.

Break Every Rule was Turner’s follow-up album to the hugely successful comeback album Private Dancer. The first single Typical Male was a big chart success, reaching number two in the US and number three in Germany, alongside several top 10 finishes across the globe.
