A collection of tracks made during the first month of the pandemic lockdown. A wide range of compositions from song to vamp to microtonal et al. A record stated for my wife art show that never happened due to the pandemic. This music should be somewhat of antidote for the feelings we've all been having during this rough period. I sincerely hope you enjoy this work.
This remix is by far the best of all the remixes. As one would expect, this album lends itself to ambient interpretation more than any other Floyd release…
‘Scacco Matto’ is a continuation of Senni’s distinctive “pointillistic” style - where gated, taut sounds are arranged relentlessly as drumless rhythms and melody, which this time come in more song based structures. The flowing electronics of OPN's early albums - which were gathered in the acclaimed 2009 collection Rifts - suggested Lopatin was an heir to Tangerine Dream. However, he soon revealed other layers to his music with a string of releases that reflected his interest in high art as well as pop-culture artifacts including video games, science fiction, anime, and advertising (which Lopatin sampled cleverly on 2011's Replica). After signing to Warp Records, Oneohtrix Point Never only grew more adventurous with albums like 2015's Garden of Delete, an improbable yet moving fusion of metal, trance, R&B, and Top 40 pop. During this time, Lopatin also became an award-winning film composer…
Boris Brejcha has released his new album Space Diver. The masked German producer and DJ has come a long way from his beginnings in the mid 2000’s. His music has evolved from quirky and glitchy minimal to a more upbeat blend of house, techno and trance, likely reflecting the size of his audiences at shows. Now on his ninth album, Space Diver distills what has been a remarkable run for him over the past several years…
