Two Cows

A feisty widowed single mom finds herself burdened with the full-time custody of her rambunctious 15-year-old ADHD son. As they try to make ends meet and struggle with their unpredictable ménage, Kyla, the peculiar, new girl across the street, offers her help. Together, they find a new sense of balance, and hope is regained.

Dogs are dangerous. And they are more dangerous to children than to adults. Not as dangerous of course, as kitchen utensils, drapery cords, five-gallon water buckets, horses, or cows. Not nearly as dangerous as playground equipment, swimming pools, skateboards, or bikes. And not remotely as dangerous as family, friends, guns, or cars.

It was through the influence of Landgren and Svensson’s former teacher Bengt-Arne Wallin, who recorded the landmark album “Old Folklore In Swedish Modern” back in 1962 (ACT 9254-2), that Svensson and Landgren were inspired to make a duo album centered around folk songs. In August 1997 both went into the studio and with only trombone and piano recorded Swedish Folk Modern (ACT 9257-2). Their improvised treatments of the classic songs of the folk culture not only impressed the public; it brought praise from the press.

This CD is actually a combination of two different T. Lavitz projects. The Bad Habitz and also Players. The original Players band consisted of some fusion heavyweights whose credintials would blow you away. This CD is partly the reformed unit of that band and partly the Bad Habitz band. Both units play great. The players unit on this disc includes Dave Samuels, Rod Morgenstein, and Danny Gottlieb.
