Relaps is another chapter in the archival recordings of Univers Zero. It documents concert recordings of two different lineups during the band's transitional years, and the ones that presaged their lengthy - though gratefully temporary - hiatus from recording and touring between 1986-1999. There are four shows and two different lineups of UZ on display here. First up are a pair of performances from a quintet version of UZ that includes Denis on drums, new keyboardist Jean-Luc Plouvier (who replaced Andy Kirk, original keyboardist and one of the band's two composers), Dirk Descheemaekeron reeds and winds, bassist Christian Genet, and cellist and alto saxophonist André Mergenthaler (aka André Mergen)…

Ultimate Violin Classics: The Essential Masterpieces would be an appropriate title for this five-disc set of performances taken from EMI's archives, if it weren't for the word "The." These are certainly many of the greatest works for violin, but there are too many obvious omissions - solos by Bach, concertos by Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Brahms, to name just a few - for this to be considered a definitive collection of violin masterpieces. The collection is diverse: sonatas by Beethoven; concertos by Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Bruch; and many small encore-type works for violin and piano.

These days Wardour produce a couple of titles per year (and not very good ones at that) and both Gypsy Eye and QDA are gone leaving on Tarantura, trolling the vast Mr. Peach tape archive, as the sole provider of great Queen silver titles.
