Luciferion is one of the most unique death metal bands I've ever heard. The band was founded in early 1993 by Polish guy named Wojtek Lisicki. It was without a doubt Europe's ultimate answer to the major league Florida Death Metal. At that time Luciferion simply used to blow everyone away with their uncompromising attitude, their intensity and their sheer brutality-all mixed with unbeliveable over the top musicanship extravananca. Luciferion is not given justice by being refered to simply as Death Metal. Yes, Death is the strongest influence present, but there are others. The band itself, by the looks of them would be considered Black Metal. At the same time, the band has a different instrumental element; at least for a Death Metal band. Their Keyboardist adds an erie sound to their music, sort of a tracsending, mystic contribution that makes them a lot more fun to listen to.

The CD "Voyages" by the young, internationally up-and-coming Eternum Quartet is a musical journey for saxophone quartet. It takes us from the great quartet of Alexander Glasunov to a Bach arrangement and two works written especially for the four young musicians. The GENUIN debut of the ensemble features two new works by composers Konstantia Gourzi and Helena Cánovas i Pares, which are ideally suited to the warm, chromatic sound of the Eternum Quartet: Gourzi's "Voyager 1" is a tribute to the space probe that has fired our imagination for the past 45 years. Cánovas' composition is a journey into the vast interior of our dreams and desires. Exciting chamber music in unusual interpretations!

Without doubt, the recordings of Tangerine Dream have made the greatest impact on the widest variety of instrumental music during the 1980s and '90s, ranging from the most atmospheric new age and space music to the harshest abrasions of electronic dance. Founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese in Berlin, the group has progressed through a full three dozen lineups (Froese being the only continuous member with staying power) and four distinct stages of development: the experimentalist minimalism of the late '60s and early '70s; stark sequencer trance during the mid- to late '70s, the group's most influential period; an organic form of instrumental music on their frequent film and studio work during the 1980s; and, finally, a more propulsive dance style, which showed Tangerine Dream with a sound quite similar to their electronic inheritors in the field of dance music.
