Death/thrash metal powerhouse Ulvedharr have relesed their forthcoming album “Total War” on August 18th, 2017, via Scarlet Records. Ulvedharr is one of the hardest working thrash metal bands to come out of the European underground scene in recent years. “Total War” is a mixture of Swedish Death, German Thrash and Black Metal influences, which draws its inspiration from bands such as Unleashed, Dissection and Entombed to name a few. Lyrically, the songs are deeply rooted in ancient history, from the foundation of the Roman Empire (“Legion”) to its decline (“Flagellum Dei”, “Wrath of Brenn”), to the great German migrations (“Krigaren”) and the Middle Ages (“Inquisition”). Ulvedharr follows in the tradition of European Heavy Metal with a modern touch and plenty of attitude.
All I See Is War is the twelfth studio album by Sevendust. It is scheduled for release on May 11, 2018 via Rise Records.
Beth Hart is as real as it gets. At a time when other musicians polish their songs, airbrush their image, conceal their blemishes, deny their age and bury their darkest secrets, this is one artist who throws down her cards and invites you to either walk or love her anyway. And with War In My Mind, this Grammy-nominated talent has never served herself up so raw, on a record that embraces her merits and flaws, channels her bittersweet headspace and spins gold from her demons. "More than any record I've ever made, I'm more open to being myself on these songs,” Beth explains. "I've come a long way with healing, and I'm comfortable with my darknesses, weirdnesses and things that I'm ashamed of – as well as all the things that make me feel good."
‘Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and yet cannot remain silent’, wrote Victor Hugo in 1864. Half a century later, his words had never felt more pertinent. Every composer writing during World War I found a unique way, through their music, to describe and protest against the horrors that were tearing civilization apart.
