The John Wayne/John Ford Film Collection boxes together eight films from a star-and-director team rivaled only by Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune, or Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, Maybe. Revisiting the set - which, even with its major omissions, gathers the lion's share of the Wayne/Ford collaborations - it's tough to consider any rivals. The liberal Ford and the conservative Wayne had nothing in common politically, but artistically, they're perfectly in sync. WHV now introduces a ten-disc set featuring eight of the team's finest collaborations: The Searchers: Ultimate Collector's Edition (1956), Stagecoach: Special Edition (1939), Fort Apache (1948), The Long Voyage Home (1940), Wings of Eagles (1957), She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1948), They Were Expendable (1945), 3 Godfathers (1948).

One of the most influential directors in the history of cinema, John Ford helmed more than 140 films and received countless awards for his extensive craftsmanship, including four Best Director Academy Awards for the The Quiet Man (1952), How Green Was My Valley (1941), The Grapes Of Wrath (1940) and The Informer (1935). Setting the standard for excellent filmmaking in every genre he touched, Ford remains an icon, a legend and an inspiration to anyone who's ever made a film… or watched one.

"The Supremes Sing Country, Western & Pop" is the 4th studio album recorded by the Supremes, issued by Motown in February 1965. The album was presented as a covers/tribute album of country songs, as Ray Charles had done with his album Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music. However, over half of the selections on "The Supremes Sing Country, Western & Pop" were written in-house by Motown staffer Clarence Paul. One of the songs on the album is "My Heart Can't Take It No More", which the Supremes had recorded in 1962 and released in 1963 as a single. One of Paul's songwriting partners on the album was his fourteen-year-old charge Stevie Wonder, making the Supremes the first act besides Wonder himself to record Wonder's songs. Motown's session group, the Andantes, appear on all but two of the tracks. They accompany Ross completely above Wilson and Ballard on "Baby Doll". The album was a modest success peaking at #79 on the US Billboard Top LPs chart, with sales exceeding 38,000 copies.
