Vargas is a powerhouse guitarist who also is among the more tasteful players that I have heard. While many of his other recordings show elements of jazz, funk, Latin, and even flamenco, "Last Night" is purely a Chicago blues masterpiece. While Varas' guitar is front and center throughout the recording, so are the incredible vocals of Bobby Alexander, who sounds like he was born to sing Chicago style blues. His voice, like Vargas' guitar, is powerful yet smooth. They are more than capably supported by the first rate bass guitar of Fran Montero, David Lads Sanchez on keyboards, and Jota Marsan on drums. Though Vargas and Alexander are the core, this is very much a team effort and everyone in the band contributes on this great set.
This CD is spectacular from start to finish and one of the finest live recordings in my collection. The live sound quality is extraordinary and really makes you feel like you are front row center for the show. From the opening notes of the Vargas original "Scratch Me Back", through a great cover of "I Play The Blues For You", on past the band's rendition of Jimmy McGriff's "All About The Girl", and concluding with Vargas' thunderous "Black Cat Boogie", this is a CD that any blues/rock or Chicago blues fan is going to want to own. The CD also comes with an excellent 13 song DVD of the band in concert, which makes this indeed a lot of splendid entertainment for the money.

Nektar (German for Nectar) is an English progressive rock band originally based in Germany.
The band formed in Hamburg, West Germany in 1969. The founding members were Englishmen Roye Albrighton on guitars and lead vocals, Allan "Taff" Freeman on keyboards, Derek "Mo" Moore on bass, Ron Howden on drums and artists Mick Brockett and Keith Walters on lights and "special effects". Though the concept of non-performing bandmembers was not unprecedented (i.e. lyricist Keith Reid in Procol Harum), it was considered unusual that a third of Nektar's lineup had no role in performing or writing their music. Throughout their early existence the band's songwriting was credited to all six members on the album sleeves, but BMI records show that the music was written by the four performing members (Albrighton, Freeman, Moore and Howden). Mick Brockett did however co-write the lyrics with "Mo" Moore, and invented or contributed to the original album titles.

Christian hard rock group Liberty ‘n’ Justice was formed in 1991 by Justin Murr and Patrick Marchand. Since 2002 only Justin Murr has remained and he has been the driving force behind Liberty ‘n’ Justice ever since. With 2012 being the band's 20th Anniversary here we find the release of their 11th studio album "Hell is coming to Breakfast". This album is also the band's second release on Roxx Records and really after all is said and done remains another fine example of why this is such a successful melodic rock/hard rock group. Besides the fact that the album will no doubt be remembered for featuring the track "Sin" (the final song recorded by Jani Lane before his untimely death) "Hell Is Coming To Breakfast" features 7 brand new tracks and various demos.

Live In Moscow is a 2003 bootleg CD by Björk. This was released by Russian label Artsound and while the Polydor label is on the packaging, that is untrue.
