VANDENBERG'S MOONKINGS return with their new record, "Rugged And Unplugged" which will be released on November 23 via Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group.
Last in Time is a project that was formed in 2021 as a studio band, with the goal of recording original songs in the Progressive and Classic Rock/AOR genre. Leading the project is Massimo Marchetti, the songwriter, producer, and arranger of the group's songs. The project has a diverse lineup, as it was managed as an All-star band, in order to ensure that each song had the right artistic touch. In fact, the ability to have multiple voices, including a female voice, greatly expanded the compositional proposal of the songs, allowing for a range of genres and nuances. However, the group's sound, while diverse, remains anchored to a common thread, which is a passion for Classic Rock in its various forms.
If you consider the songs on Voodoo Circle’s new album "Raised On Rock" to be an indicator of the current emotional condition their most important protagonists find themselves in, there seems to be no reason to worry about band founder, guitarist and main composer Alex Beyrodt in particular. Thanks to Beyrodt’s excellent songwriting – as usual inspired by renowned sources such as Whitesnake, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix – and his outstanding guitar performance which brings to mind icons from Ritchie Blackmore through Jimmy Page to John Sykes, this recording oozes pure, unadulterated fervour.
Great compilation for those who appreciate the different faces of rock music, from the gentler, the more pop through the independent to the hardcore, hard rock. 80 songs recorded on the four CDs. For rock fans, Fleetwood Mac and Do not Stop, alternative fans can savor The Smith and their classic "How Soon Is Now?". There are also Dr. Feelgood ("Milk and Alcohol"), Echo And The Bunnymen (The Cutter), The Darkness ("I Believe In A Thing Called Love"), Royal Blood ("Out Of The Black"), Biffy Clyro ("Mountains").
Mikael Erlandsson needs no further introduction when it comes to melodic rock. He has released six successful solo albums and a lot of titles with groups like Phenomena, Salute among others. Between 2006-2018 Erlandsson fronted the Swedish super group Secret Service which he toured with live all over the world. Together with the fantastic guitar player Andy Malecek from the successful German hard rock band Fair Warning he founded the band LAST AUTUMNS DREAM in 2003 which also featured Ian Haugland, Mic Michaeli and John Leven of Europe fame at the time. The self-titled debut album was produced by Claes Andreasson and became a great success.
In 1991 Steelheart released their self-titled debut, most notable for its octave-spanning vocals and a pair of hit power ballads:
"Never Let You Go," which reached number 14 on the Billboard singles chart; and "She's Gone," which fared well internationally.
Notable guitarist, songwriter, Composer and producer Steve Vai, who has worked with Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne, and a rich catalog of solo material garnering 3 Grammy wins, 15 nominations, myriad world wide awards and over 15 million career record sales, is releasing the second volume of his project Piano Reductions, after 14 years. Vai teamed up with the extremely talented professional Japanese pianist Miho Arai, who has idolized Steve for years, to recreate piano versions of 12 of his songs, including "Burning Rain," "Lucky Charms" and "Dying For Your Love" and many more. Her virtuosity is breathtaking. Vai fans responded very well to Piano Reductions Vol I, and he is now releasing Vol II.
