Renowned GRAMMY-nominated band Gov’t Mule has announced their new studio album, Peace…Like A River, will be released this summer and has shared the first single “Dreaming Out Loud,” featuring Ivan Neville and Ruthie Foster. For the stirring new song, GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, and producer Warren Haynes wove together inspirational quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Robert and John Kennedy, and the late civil rights leader and U.S. Representative John Lewis. Peace…Like A River is the band’s 12th studio album and follow-up to their chart-topping, Grammy-nominated blues album, Heavy Load Blues. The 12-song rock collection also features guest appearances from Billy Bob Thornton, Celisse, and Billy F Gibbons. Featuring 71 tracks on five discs, including the albums The Buffalo Skinners and the double live album Without The Aid Of A Safety Net, recorded at Barrowlands Ballroom in Glasgow on 29 December 1993. Includes rare B-sides/bonus tracks, US radio mixes, previously unreleased instrumental demos, plus the original demo for every track on The Buffalo Skinners album.

Belgian jazz guitar legend Philip Catherine and German bassist Martin Wind come from different generations but share a common love for melodic jazz with swing roots. On this album, the two musicians complement each other perfectly: Catherine’s playing is technically unique and never seems to stop revealing new lyrical guitar sounds, but it is not merely his technique and dexterity that set him apart. What makes him unique is his acoustic guitar sound and an improvisational style based not on other guitarists, but on some of the great horn players in jazz. Wind’s bass is always strong yet elegant and lush on this collection of standards and originals.

This is the first volume in a complete sequence of Percy Graingers music for wind band and it adheres strictly to his instrumental demands, whether for Hammond organ, Swiss hand bells or steel marimbaphone. Grainger, who considered the medium an unrivalled vehicle for emotional expression, wrote a series of Chosen Gems for Winds, which include beautiful transcriptions of music by composers such as Bach, Franck and Fauré. This first volume also contains some of his greatest and most joyous creations the immortal Country Gardens, Shepherds Hey and Molly on the Shore.
