Three CDs, plus a fourth stuffed with rarities, sum up a career that both deserves far greater critical acclaim than it has ever been granted, and which has gone out of its way to discourage that from ever happening. An admittedly well-loved cult throughout his first decade of recording, Chris De Burgh exploded worldwide following the success of "The Lady in Red" and that, unfortunately, remains most peoples' sole perception of him; "unfortunately" because, at his best (which is more often than not), De Burgh both writes and performs with an extraordinary passion, and a musical ambition that travels way beyond that one song's parameters.
Harmonic Oasis (2002). In February 2002 Kevin Wood released his debut CD, "Scenic Listening". Each song on this album takes you to a different setting, such as a cathedral, a mountainside, a waterfall, etc. "Scenic Listening" earned the #4 top-album on the NAV Airwaves Chart, and is now licensed with Orange Music under the revised title name, "Harmonic Oasis". "Harmonic Oasis" stimulates the senses with artfully woven tribal grooves, Gregorian chants, and beautiful melodies. Rich string harmonies and fluid piano conjure vivid images and lush mindscapes.
Sacred (2006). Gregorian Chant, Native American voices, and various world vocals are artfully woven to create a rich tapestry of music that channels the wisdom of the ages. Let the rhythms, the beautiful melodies, and the ancient voices transport you to a place of wisdom, peace, and sanctity - to a place that is truly… Sacred.
This is, perhaps, the one. Derek Trucks has been on an aesthetic quest for something since he began his own recording career in 1997 – apart from his membership in the Allman Brothers Band. Each record has gone further into establishing Trucks not only as a slide guitar wizard (that happened when he was still in his teens), but also as a serious songwriter, fine arranger, and bandleader. The Derek Trucks Band, as evidenced by the release of 2003's Soul Serenade, is a unit – a band – whose core has been together for eight years. They create an atmosphere, a sound, a musical sense of place and community.
Giorgos Bratanis, better known by his artistic name "Cayetano" is a Greek musician. He performs with his band - Cayetano Live Band - and as a DJ worldwide. The international recognition came in 2006, when he released the album "Focuced" getting airplay on radio stations and great reviews from the Press all over the World. The next step was even bigger, as his collaboration with Loopa Scava gave the "Up & Down" album, released by Etage Noir.
Since then, Cayetano has in his baggages 1 Nomination for the French Annually Prizes "Prix Radiophonie", the 1st Award for film scoring for the swedish film "Herr Holger", his song "Mathematical Sorrow" from the album "Focuced" as the official song for the Berlin's Mathematical Expo, numerous remixes for artists like Parov Stelar, Wax Tailor, Mod X etc and numerous licenses for compilations and TV programs…
