The Yellow and Black Attack is the first release from the Christian metal band Stryper. No singles were released from this six-song EP, and fewer than 20,000 copies were pressed, as their label, Enigma Records, was unsure of the potential market for Christian metal. CCM Magazine was slightly critical, citing production quality and the short length of the release, but commented that "Stryper has the promise of a major success story.
SPV launched their series of archival Ike & Tina Turner collections with this double-disc set, which curiously enough is the least interesting installment in the program so far. The Archive Series, Vols. 1 & 2: Hits and Classics is devoted to songs already familiar to casual listeners, but the only real-deal Ike & Tina hits included on this set are "It's Gonna Work Out Fine," "Nutbush City Limits," "Proud Mary," and "River Deep, Mountain High" (the latter two each appearing twice), while nearly everything else is a cover of a tune associated with another artist.
Despite a well-documented incident where Larry Ochs was legally challenged for inflicting psychological damage on a festival goer who’d been expecting “jazz” (it’s a great modern parable), he doesn’t have quite that confrontational a vision. Likewise Satoko Fujii and Natsuki Tamura, who have embraced populism as well as the avant-garde. This isn’t music that furrows the brow, but it is not without challenge and its greatest challenge is that it delivers rich complexities as natural forms and allows us to inhabit them for extended periods. The sessions commonly referred to as the "Get Back Sessions" took place during January 1969. (Jan 2nd - 15th at Twickenham Studios; Jan 22nd - 31st at Apple Studios). Paul originally conceived the project back in late '68, believing that they could revitalize the band by returning to live performances. The Beatles were to be filmed writing, rehearsing, and recording, culminating with the actual live show (the logistics of which were never really settled, resulting in "the roof top" as a last ditch compromise).

Difang Duana (1921-2002) and Igay Duana (1922-2002) were an Amis husband and wife farmers who became known as a folk music duo from Taiwan who specialized in traditional Amis chants. Their most recognized work is of a performance of a traditional Amis Palang song (alternately called 'Weeding and Paddyfield Song No. 1', 'Elders' Drinking Song', and 'Jubilant Drinking Song') which was recorded by a French government project and EMI, and which was subsequently sampled by the musical project Enigma for their international hit single 'Return to Innocence'. Accusations of plagiarism were primarily settled out of court…
