浮世击 Yellow

Yellow Loveless is a tribute album featuring cover versions of the 11 songs from My Bloody Valentine's 1991 record Loveless. The album was released on January 23, 2013 by High Fader Records, coincidentally just after the announcement of My Bloody Valentine's third studio album, mbv (2013). The album features exclusive covers by Japanese artists from various genres, including sludge metal band Boris and pop punk group Shonen Knife.

The first anthology from one of the most important South American bands of the 60's. These are the best recordings the band made from 1968 to 1971 for legendary labels Sono Radio and Mag. On Yellow Sea Years, the evolution of the band can be fully appreciated, with their roots in the acid blues-rock of Jimi, Cream or the Yardbirds, to a solid Latin-rock sound with psychedelic touches and immensely inspired folk.

The Neville Brothers made a bid for pop/rock stardom with this well-produced album for A&M, their first under a new pact with the label inked in the late '80s. It was certainly as solid as any they cut for A&M; the vocals were both nicely arranged and expertly performed, the arrangements were basically solid, and the selections were intelligently picked and sequenced. The album charted and remained there for many weeks, while the Nevilles toured and generated lots of interest. It didn't become a hit, but it did respectably and represents perhaps their finest overall pop LP.

This concerto for orchestra in seven parts, is a beautifully crafted work incorporating Eastern European folk and Jewish melodies. While the subject matter is clearly about the Jews and their suffering up to and including the end of World War 2, the music and melodic themes avoid portrayal of the Nazis.
