Del Shannon’s formidable hit list qualifies him as one of the truly great artists of the 1960s. Del made #1 on both sides of the Atlantic with his first 45, ‘Runaway’, and for the next few years he delivered the chart goods again and again with some of the best singles ever made – most of which he wrote or co-wrote. This new Ace set is, we believe, the first to present Del’s UK 45s, as released between 1960 and 1966, in the order they appeared here and in the same couplings used on the original London and Stateside pressings (which often differed from their US counterparts).

One Last Time Live in Concert is a home video documenting one of singer Tina Turner's final Wembley Stadium concert stops on her Twenty Four Seven Tour. The DVD was released nationally in 2001, a year after the tour, which was the highest-grossing tour of 2000, ended. The DVD was certified platinum by the RIAA and in the UK.
Farewell tours are a risky enterprise – just ask the Who. They announced their retirement from the stage back in 1982. Since then, they’ve staged outings in 1989, 1996-97, 2000, and again in the summer of 2002.

Jim Reeves - widely known as Gentleman Jim - was one of the most successful and important country artists of the 1950s and early '60s, his rich, velvet voice bringing a unique sound and style, which was in the vanguard of the new Nashville sound, as the music headed away from honky-tonk fiddles and steel guitars as introduced strings and backing choruses, helping to move the genre towards the pop mainstream.

Here's a real grab bag of Top 40 hits from 1960 to 1966, some of them indeed very hard to find on CD or even hear on the radio. Some of them are not really not that hard to find on CD, though this disc (like every one in this series) takes pains to present original 45 RPM single versions, often in stereo.
