Pepita Slappers, som bildades 2010, är ett ungt band på stark uppgång inom den svenska rockabillyscenen. – Det har gått snabbt uppåt. Det är inte mig emot. Det är kul att göra något som folk tycker om, säger basisten Alexander Larsson i en intervju med VK. Ända sedan starten 2010 var det självklart att bandet skulle spela den nostalgidoftande musikstilen rockabilly, med den tillhörande kulturen runt musiken. – Det är det vi lever för. Vi tycker om raggarbilar, amerikanare och så där. Det är väldigt glad musik som gör att folk blir taggade och dansar, buggar och twistar. Det är ingen mörk musik direkt, säger Larsson.
