Keep It To Yourself is the debut album by MullMuzzler (a band formed by Dream Theater lead singer James LaBrie). James LaBrie's excellent solo project shows that he's more than just a phenomenally talented singer, but he's a solid songwriter as well. With Dream Theater, LaBrie's songwriting is rather undervalued among his virtuoso peers, but here you really see what he's made of.

MullMuzzler 2 (also known as James LaBrie's MullMuzzler 2) is the second studio album by Dream Theater singer James LaBrie and his band MullMuzzler, released on September 11, 2001 through Magna Carta Records. With this 2001 release, Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie follows up his relatively successful 1999 solo effort, Keep It to Yourself. Once again, the vocalist garners support from guitarist Mike Keneally – along with Magna Carta's roster keyboardist, Trent Gardner, and others – for this progressive/hard rock outing brought by the band known as Mullmuzzler. As one might expect, LaBrie delivers the goods in a rather powerful and at times commanding fashion amid the band's often-thunderous rhythms, scorching guitars, and textural synths.

Elements of Persuasion, released March 29, 2005, is Dream Theater lead singer James LaBrie's third solo album, his first two being Keep It to Yourself and MullMuzzler 2, which were released under his band MullMuzzler. On Elements of Persuasion James surrounds himself once again with world-class musicians and describes the sound on E.O.P. as effectively traversing the distance between the moody and atmospheric and heavy and experimental. New sounds and recording techniques are in abundance.

McStine & Minnemann is a new band consisting of Randy McStine and Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats). The duo initially met in 2018 while working with other artists, but as they discovered their shared passion for an assortment of Rock, Pop, and Punk artists, they began to talk about embarking on a collaborative project together. Although McStine and Minnemann initially set out to record an EP, they quickly shifted to making an album as their musical ideas and chemistry flourished.

Joe Satriani may have retained the services of keyboardist Mike Keneally for Shockwave Supernova, the guitarist's 15th studio album – Keneally has been in Satch's orbit for a while now – but he chose to invite bassist Bryan Beller and drummer Marco Minnemann (from the inventive instrumental rock band the Aristocrats) to be his rhythm section for the bulk of the record. This slight shakeup reinvigorates Satriani, who already sounded spry on Unstoppable Momentum.

Virtuoso guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Keneally has been all over the musical radar, spanning the past three decades. Performing with Frank Zappa in 1988, the artist has also aligned with avant-garde guitar hero Henry Kaiser and currently mans the keyboards amid some guitar work in support of iconic progressive rock guitarist Joe Satriani. With his 24th solo album, Keneally propagates some insanely complex time signatures, perhaps deriving influence from Zappa but mixes it up poignantly by infusing humor, slamming backbeats, symphonic keys, and a seemingly eternal array of slants and divergent contrasts.
