Swapping out his rhythm section, Andrew Stockdale proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's the mastermind of Wolfmother on Cosmic Egg, creating a second record that is essentially a replication of the first, equally enamored with all the thick, heavy rock of the '70s, specifically Sabbath and Zeppelin, tempered with a little bit of Jack White caterwaul. All the sounds remain the same, but the songs have changed: with the occasional exception, such as the Stripes-ian salute "White Feather," Stockdale backs away from simple, brutal riff-driven songs, preferring churning exercises in heavy fantasy, sometimes colored with some Deep Purple organ.

After his successful duet album with Florian Silbereisen, Thomas Anders is now again devoting himself to a solo project and is listening to the long-awaited wish of his international fan base with his new single "Cosmic Rider" and the accompanying album "Cosmic" - finally an album in English again…

Gather round the ol’ meteorite and hear good tidings from Glasgow’s The Cosmic Dead, who’ll issue their new full-length, Scottish Space Race, on Sept. 20 through the subspace receiver array known terrestrially as Riot Season Records. Get groovy, my little symptoms of the universe, because the writing’s in your eyes, but so’s the sunshine, and it rarely sounds brighter than when The Cosmic Dead get their jam jammy.

The song "Cosmic Rider" sounds exactly how a song has to sound to make the hearts of die-hard fans beat faster: on the one hand, 100% of the classic Modern Talking sound, which has been consistently developed and transported into the present day. The track was produced again by producer Christian Geller (including Eloy de Jong, Giovanni Zarrella), who was also responsible for the duet album with Florian Silbereisen.
