Rage in Eden, released in 1981, is the fifth album by British band Ultravox, and the second of the band's most-recognizable incarnation, fronted by Midge Ure. Rage in Eden was co-produced by Conny Plank like their previous two LPs. The abstract album artwork was designed by Peter Saville, better known for his collaborations with New Order. All re-issues of the album since 1981 however have different artwork, due to licensing problems concerning the original cover.

Outstanding female vocals and excellent Jazz, Latin and Bossa Nova. This disc features outstanding tunes penned by the likes of A.C. Jobim, Kenny Dorham and Chick Corea. An absolute MUST HAVE for jazz fans! Great sound quality!A fine interpreter of lyrics, Eden Atwood has started out strong with her three Concord recordings. Raised in Montana, Atwood studied drama and musical theater at college but became interested in jazz and at 19 she began singing locally. Although she worked as a model and an actress, Atwood has focused her attentions on singing; she made her debut in New York in 1992 and sings in a style somewhere between jazz and cabaret.

This CD features former Whitesnake members Rudy Sarzo on bass, Tommy Aldridge on Drums, Adrian Vandenberg on guitars, and Little Caeser singer Ron Young. If you were to put Whitesnake in a blender with a dash of Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, you may get a sound that resembles Manic Eden. It's now become a bit of a lost treasure that is worth hunting up.

East of Eden's second album had to be one of the least commercial albums ever to enter the British Top 30, as well as one of the most stylistically diverse (or inconsistent, depending upon your mindset). The term "progressive rock" fit as well as any, yet much of it was rather along the lines of early jazz-rock fusion, with lengthy hard-to-hum instrumental passages. But there was a lot of Eastern influence as well, especially on those pieces that highlighted Dave Arbus' violin and flute. Some of the absurdist humor along the lines of Frank Zappa and the Soft Machine makes itself known too, though East of Eden were more serious than Zappa and less whimsical than the Softs. Indeed, it's a rather sober affair that sometimes approaches gloominess, and like the late '60s/early '70s Soft Machine, it's more oriented toward virtuosic instrumental sections than vocals and lyrics.

Mats Eden has been hailed, by Ale Moller, as the "real leader" of the Swedish folk revival. Eden's drone-fiddle, violin and viola have been at the heart of the music made by the Nordan Project of Moller and Lena Willemark and many other groups. On the first ECM album issued under his own name, Eden plays alone and with flutist Jonas Simonson: "Each of us has in his own way been searching for new means of expression within the range of traditional music.

Although a relative newcomer to New York's scene, the Argentina-born Israeli baritone saxophonist Eden Bareket quickly gained notice and esteem as an in-demand Sideman. Indeed Bareket's collaborative projects show an eclectic streak, as is horn playing ranges from modern classic Eyal Vilner Big-Band, to the adventurous Ari Hoenig Nonet, to even the Ethiopian jazz inspired grooves of Anbessa Orchestra.

Although this Pittsburgh band's first album was released in 2004, their origins date way back to 1974 when keyboard player Mike Lunn and bassist Bill Hankins first met. With other musicians who have since left, they formed a band named Eden. Later, drummer Mark Reynolds (1980) and then guitarist Scott Schrecengost (1985) joined the duo to form the New Eden Orchestra and the four have been together ever since. In 1995, Lunn finally conceived their first album titled "Anyman" and then hired vocalist Dave Marion on a friend's advice (Marion also shares drum and percussion duties with Reynolds on the album)…

If there was ever a soundtrack in search of a film, this magical mystery tour of an album by vocalist Rebekah Eden is certainly one. Although, in fact, it almost did become part of an iconic film soundtrack. As Rebekah shared in our interview: “Several years ago I had the opportunity to submit some of my songs to the Hobbit filmmakers for consideration (while Warner Bros. gave it two thumbs up, none of the songs in fact made it into the film). Within the year I also created (and submitted to the Hobbit filmmakers) a fourth song inspired by The Hobbit.” Although these songs were unfortunately not in the film, they are indeed part of this evocative album. Listening with eyes closed, it is not hard to create your own movie within the theater of your imagination.
