High Times – The Best of Fools Garden is a best-of compilation album by German pop band Fools Garden, released on October 2, 2009. It features 14 tracks taken from the band's back catalogue, plus one new recording. Ten of the tracks were released in the past as singles (eleven if counting the new track and single, "High Time"). The compilation doesn't include any song from band's first two albums and omits eight of their later singles, such as "Pieces", "It Can Happen", "Happy", "In the Name", "Closer", "Man of Devotion", "Does Anybody Know?" and "Cold". The songs "Lemon Tree", "Wild Days" and "Suzy" have been rerecorded for this compilation.

Ready for the Real Life is the seventh album by German rock band Fools Garden, released in 2005. On their tenth studio album, the 1991 originating band Fool's Garden, presents themselves as very mature and versatile. Their current album ''Rise and Fall'' offers a variety of songs, which not only show themselves very independently, but also maintain classic-timeless qualities in composition, interpretation and arrangement. ''This time we let a very special discipline prevail in writing the songs,'' says singer Peter Freudenthaler. A song could not be set aside until it was fully complete in its structure, so that it could later be recorded in our own studio. It was an audibly effective as well as creative work process with impressive results! The 14 melodious titles cover a wide range of styles. This can be seen in titles such as, the opulently arranged mid-tempo opus ''I Burn'' (reminiscent due to the falsetto chorus of a-ha or Coldplay), or there is the acoustic ballad Marie Marie, or the atmospheric, minimalist ''All We Are,'' which Freudenthaler dedicated to his son. And with the electronic vibe of ''Still Running,'' Fool's Garden taps into new terrain!

One might think: Anyone who has achieved all of this could sit back, put up their feet and rest on what has been achieved… far from it: the two masterminds Peter Freudenthaler and Volker Hinkel still feel an irresistible desire to write new songs, record albums and to go on tour. The two of them created over 140 songs throughout their 30/year band history. CAPTAIN … COAST IS CLEAR is the name of their new and eleventh studio album. All in all, it seems as if the band, despite or maybe because of the pandemic challenges, has run into top form and thus, with CAPTAIN… COAST IS CLEAR, created a piece of art that offers a track for every musical taste. Therefore, the band can hardly wait to bring these songs that were created during a unique, historical time, live on stage to sing them together with fans from near and far.
