"Hotter than July" is the nineteenth album by American recording artist Stevie Wonder, originally released on Motown's Tamla label on September 29, 1980. It was certified platinum and reached number three on the US Billboard chart. This was his most successful album in the UK, peaking at number two and producing four top ten singles.The first, third and fourth single were released with music videos. "Hotter than July" was nominated for Favorite Soul/R&B Album at the American Music Awards in 1982.

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the thriller Happy Death Day. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, Colossal). The soundtrack will be released digitally next week and physically on October 20. The CD version will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next couple of days. Happy Death Day is directed by Christopher Landon and stars Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Charles Aitken and Laura Clifton. The movie follows a college student who must relive the same day over and over again on her birthday and figure out who attempts to kill her at her party every time and why. The Blumhouse production will be released on October 13 by Universal Pictures.

Following his stint as leader of the Electric Light Orchestra, singer/guitarist Jeff Lynne forged an equally successful career in the '80s and '90s as a producer with his distinctive sound gracing the latter-day records of many veteran rock & roll legends. Lynne began his career in the late '60s as the frontman of a group called the Idle Race, which recorded the album The Birthday Party for RCA in 1969. In 1970, Lynne accepted an invitation from Move leader Roy Wood to join his revamped band; the two shared a vision of fusing electric rock & roll with classical orchestrations, a concept that eventually transformed the Move into the Electric Light Orchestra (instead of the two groups running concurrently, as had originally been planned).
