On December 12, 2014, at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles, Melissa Etheridge played the final night of her national This Is M.E. tour. The show featured Melissa and her band in top form, performing new songs from her thirteenth studio album This Is M.E. such as "Take My Number ", and "A Little Bit of Me ", as well as classic hits including "Come To My Window ", "I'm The Only One ", and "Like The Way I Do ",. This set features two songs which were performed exclusively at this tour stop ("Chrome Plated Heart ", and "Ruins "), and features special guests Delta Rae.
John Storgårds and the BBC Philharmonic here present a complete set of Nielsen’s symphonies, following on from the successful release a year ago of Sibelius’ complete symphonies. The two sets together celebrate the 150th anniversary this year of the birth of both composers. Several concerts devoted to Nielsen’s symphonies, played by the same forces, coincide with this release: on BBC 3 in February, at the Nielsen and Sibelius festival in Stockholm in April, during a week of celebrations at the Bridgewater Hall in June, etc.
Coeur de Pirate is a Québécoise singer/songwriter and pianist who made her acclaimed eponymous album debut in 2008 and eventually rose to Top Five success in France the following year with her smash hit single "Comme des Enfants." Born Beatrice Martin on September 22, 1989, in Quebec, Canada, she began playing piano at age three and was educated in Montreal. She began her recording career in 2007, posting demo versions of her songs on MySpace. Around this same time, she began playing keyboards in the acclaimed Montreal-based indie pop band Bonjour Brumaire.
