Rockland is the third studio album by Norwegian band Katzenjammer. It was released on January 16, 2015 in Europe and on March 10, 2015 in North America. Katzenjammer are nothing if not distinctive. Formed at an Oslo music school in 2005, the four girls play a diverse blend of country, folk, blues, pop and rock. From Tennessee's Bonnaroo to Australia's Woodford Folk Festival, the quartet have enraptured tens-of-thousands with their genre-mixing, instrument-swapping and riotous shows. Their 2008 debut, 'Le Pop', showed that they were as fun on record as live and 2011's 'A Kiss Before You Go' was a symphonic journey through the emotions, full of vigour and vocal harmonies. Throughout this all they have done things their own way. 'Rockland' is undoubtedly their most refined and accomplished effort so far.

Dass er kurz vor dem Anschluss ein solches Weltuntergangswerk komponierte, zeigt das Zeitgespür des Komponisten.

Patricia Vonne (née Rodriguez) is an American singer and actress. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Vonne moved to New York City in 1990-2001 to pursue her artistic ambitions. She worked extensively in Europe and America and was featured in the film Sin City as Dallas (aka Zorro Girl) & national/international commercials, and film work. She formed her own musical band, which performed on the New York circuit from 1998-2001. She then relocated to her native Texas where she currently tours extensively in the U.S., Mexico and Europe. She toured as a member of Tito & Tarantula, the band featured in the film From Dusk Till Dawn in 2002. Her song, "Traeme Paz", was featured in the film Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Her song "Mudpies and Gasoline" is featured in the Quentin Tarantino presented film Hell Ride. She is the sister of Angela Lanza, Marcel Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez. Though billed as a Paul Simon anthology, Sony's 19-song Ultimate Collection features nearly as much Simon & Garfunkel material as it does his solo work. Ranging from the duo's early-'60s breakthrough folk hit "The Sound of Silence" to Simon's 1990 percussive, Latin-flavored single "The Obvious Child," this set is focused largely on the more titanic tracks of his career. Displaying his range equally as a singer ("Still Crazy After All These Years") and a songwriter (the Art Garfunkel-led masterpiece "Bridge Over Troubled Water"), it's difficult to choose highlights, as almost all of these songs are career highlights and many are widely recognized as iconic classics of pop music. While it would be nice to see some representation of Simon's excellent solo releases of the late '90s and early 21st century, it's tough to argue with the selections offered here.
