Listen To This Artie! is an "audience recording merge + remaster". The double CD was recorded at Madison Square Garden in New York City on 3 September, 1971, two months before the group would finish Led Zeppelin IV (Zoso), and the discs are edited together from two different tape sources, both from the audience, including someone named Artie, who is recognized in the title of the boot. Aria Designs are the planner and while the discs are undated, it is believe to have been released in 2011.

Originally released by Tarantura in 1995, Please Please Me is a triple CD set recorded in Osaka on 28 September, 1971 at Koseinenkin Kaikan (Festival Hall) in support of "Led Zeppelin IV". While the show the following night is available from the soundboard, I like this set for the oddities of Beatles songs, along with "Down By The Riverside" and "We Shall Overcome" in the set with a devoted sing-along attempt from the crowd. Robert Plant encourages the crowd to go a little louder and questions why they are so calm and quiet, but the Osaka attendees get into American folk covers. Released by the Wendy label.

No Longer Down Under is a 2CD Led Zeppelin bootleg highlighting the band's Australasian tour of 1972. When England was having cold temperatures, the weather in Australia and New Zealand was quite hot and humid, and Robert Plant makes a point of this during the show, recorded from the audience at Kooyong Tennis Courts in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the 20th of February, 1972. Due to the storm happening at the time, the band had to cut their performance short, but it is a powerful show from start to finish. In a bit of extra trivia, this was the last show Jimmy Page sported a beard in public, which he would shave for their next show and never to be see in one for the next 43 years and continuing. This CD was released on the Brigand label.

The second wave of reissues in Led Zeppelin‘s overhaul of their classic catalog pretty much follows the path set by the first: remastered versions of the original albums on one disc, and alternate takes and mixes (along with the occasional rare cut) on the other. The band’s self-titled 1969 debut included live tracks, but all of the others so far — including the new ‘IV’ and ‘Houses of the Holy’ — have basically replicated the original LPs with different versions of the same songs. That doesn’t give fans looking for more obscure Zeppelin tracks much to reach for, but Led Zeppelin weren’t ones to waste much. During the decade in which they recorded their eight albums, very few songs were left unreleased. Only one B-side — 1970's ‘Immigrant Song’ flip, ‘Hey Hey What Can I Do’ — even surfaced during their run. So don’t expect to hear any recently unearthed gems on the remastered deluxe editions of 1971's ’IV’ and 1973's ’Houses of the Holy.’

Fresh Garbage collects together all of the relevant documents from Led Zeppelin’s legendary four night set at the Fillmore West on their first tour. All of the main Led Zeppelin biographies state how important these series of gigs were for the success of the group with the public and their acceptance by the music industry. On the same bill with Taj Mahal and headliners Country Joe And The Fish, the initial scheduled called for two sets on January 9th, 10th, and the 11th but a final night was added on. The opening show coincided with Jimmy Page’s 25th birthday and the final night was when their debut album Led Zeppelin was released in the US. The tapes from these shows began to surface back in the days of vinyl but Scorpio is the first to present them in one cohesive set. The audience recordings are fair to good but given the historic importance, are more than acceptable and reveal a fascinating chapter in the band’s live history.
