Singer/songwriter and co-founder of Royal Southern Brotherhood, Mike Zito, formed the Wheel in 2012. The Band is comprised of Jimmy Carpenter on guitars and saxophone, Rob Lee on drums, and Scot Sutherland on bass. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Music Festival that opened the doors (with the permission of the Isle of Wight Festival) to all that are held today: Woodstock. Yet when he signed his first recording contract in 1974 and his debut album, ‘Far beyond These Castle Walls’, was released by A&M Records that same year, Chris did not look beyond the immediate future. “As I held a copy of that record in my hands, I had absolutely no idea that this would even go any further,” he recalls. “I was incredibly naïve about the music business but I was full of hope and dreams and, spectacularly, my dreams not only came true, they came truer than true. I had no concept that I was going to last as long as this. Fifty years? Wow!” A song from that first album offered a very early glimpse of what might lie ahead for Chris; the single ‘Flying’ spent 17 straight weeks at No.1 in Brazil. “I thought ‘Right, I’m off! A world star, overnight!’,” Chris remembers. “Not a chance. From then on, it was a real, real slog and a hard, hard time, but the grounding that I’d had in my parents’ hotel, Bargy Castle, performing for the guests there made me believe that I did have something that I could give to people.”

One Toke Over the Line: The Best of Brewer & Shipley Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Brewer & Shipley were more than a one-hit wonder, turning out some enjoyable folk-pop reminiscent of their big smash, "One Toke Over the Line." All the same, they probably don't need an exhaustive retrospective, and Buddha's One Toke Over the Line: The Best of Brewer & Shipley does an admirable job of distilling the B&S catalog to its finest moments and keeping it interesting for those who love the title hit and want to dig deeper. There will certainly be devotees who want to dig even deeper but, for many listeners, this will satiate their needs.

"Electric Arguments" is the third album by The Fireman, an experimental music duo consisting of Paul McCartney and producer Youth (Martin Glover). It is the first Fireman release to be publicly acknowledged by McCartney, and the album cover features the names of both contributors.
