Lost on the Road to Eternity is the 20th studio album from the rock group Magnum. The album was released on January 19, 2018. The cover was painted by Rodney Matthews. It is the group's first album to feature Lee Morris on drums and Rick Benton on keyboards. It is also the longest studio album the band has released to date (not counting bonus tracks). The album features Tobias Sammet on the title track, an artistic thank you by the Avantasia frontman for Bob Catley's numerous guest appearances on his albums.

German pianist Angelika Nebel continues her exploration of Bach transcriptions with Opus Magnum I – a continuation of her previous releases Bach: Illuminationes and Bach: Metamorphosis. The transcriptions in this release fuse the music of Bach with the 20th century, featuring interpretations by Wagner Stefani d'Aragona Malheiro, Harriet Cohen and the eminent Edwin Fischer. Two of the works have been transcribed by Angelika Nebel herself. Angelika Nebel’s repertoire includes solo, orchestral and chamber music from the 18th to 21st century. She has performed internationally, and has been a guest artist at many festivals, including Rheingau Musik Festival and the 52nd Bad Hersfelder Festspielkonzerte. She has also worked with numerous radio stations across Europe and in 1995 was appointed as a professor at the Robert Schumann College in Düsseldorf.

This 1994 disc is something of a classic of the new strain of the historical-performance movement, which is characterized by a certain amount of license to speculate in the reconstruction of lost works. The Miserere mei Deus of Gregorio Allegri is, of course, not a lost work, but one with an unbroken performance tradition stretching back to its composition in the early seventeenth century (before 1638). It was sung for centuries at the Sistine Chapel, where the singers were enjoined from circulating the music beyond Vatican walls…
