Ivan et Alex Noël sont deux frères ennemis. Quand le premier, voleur de voiture dans la banlieue lyonnaise, meurt au cours d'un vol, le second, flic solitaire, se rend sur sa dépouille avec Juliette. Cette jeune délinquante, qui gravitait dans la bande d'Ivan, est devenue la maîtresse d'Alex après avoir introduit son frère Jimmy dans le gang des voleurs. Impliquée dans l'affaire qui a coûté la vie à Ivan, Juliette disparaît dans la nature. Peu avant, Alex a découvert la relation homosexuelle qui lie Juliette à Marie, professeur de philosophie.
