Initially founded by German-born Robert Raths in 2007, the London-based label has grown and extended across the world with satellite offices in Los Angeles and Berlin. Spanning over ten years, Erased Tapes has nurtured avant-garde artists from all around the world whilst remaining genre-defying and truly independent.

Requiem for a dreamstate. It's possibly somewhere between heaven, hell and high water, down the Thames Delta towards Eden. It may involve techno and a distorted state or simply mates sat listening to music together, drifting on the open sea of their minds. This is Jon Hopkins world, not so much joining the dots as colouring the whole damn picture in.

British violinist Daniel Hope’s new Deutsche Grammophon recording „For Seasons“, unites Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with a dozen pieces associated with the months of the year, from compositions by Rameau, Bach, Schumann and Tchaikovsky to recent works by Aphex Twin, Nils Frahm, Chilly Gonzales and Max Richter. Twelve visual artworks, specially selected to complement the music, are featured in the accompanying booklet.

This recording is a road trip through the last 50 years of minimalist and ambient piano music. From the early sound tapestries of minimalists Philip Glass and John Adams, via David Lang and Arvo Pärt who combine repetition with melody and harmonic colours, to the atmospheric and quiet worlds of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Max Richter and Nils Frahm, what captivates the listener on these recordings is a sense of ambience, an evocation of space. Feico Deutekom breathes life and shape into these works, many of which have a delicately melancholy tone. He is able to convey both the rhythmic complexity and the panoramic quality of this music, where silence and the spaces lingering between the notes are often as important as the notes themselves.

To celebrate Piano Day 2022, LEITER created a compilation with thirty-two exclusive piano pieces from various corners of the world - meticulously selected for our favorite holiday of the year. Piano Day Vol. 1 reflects the piano in its diversity and allows artists from contrasting styles, ages and backgrounds to connect and celebrate the piano together.

Acclaimed pianist Joep Beving and Berlin-based producer and cellist Maarten Vos share their first collaborative album, 'vision of contentment', released via Nils Frahm’s LEITER label. It follows work together on 2019’s 'Henosis', Beving’s third album, which came about after the two musicians shared a bill in Amsterdam in 2018. Mixed by Frahm at LEITER studio in Berlin’s famed Funkhaus complex, where Vos also has his studio, the LP contains eight brand new compositions and is available on vinyl as well as via all digital platforms.
