GRAMMY-nominated producer/artist/instrumentalist Mel Holder spreads his gift through a blend of jazz and gospel fused with African and Caribbean rhythms, in this highly-anticipated follow-up to his Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Chart entry Music Book: Volume 2. The album features collaborations with Rance Allen, Ben Tankard, Bob Baldwin, Nathan Best, and Tony Mclendon. Mel has worked with and shared the stage with the likes of KC & the Sunshine Band, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Stevie Wonder.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Wattstax event that took place at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum on 20th August 1972, Stax Records presents “The Best of Wattstax“. Featuring the best performance from the festival, the release includes performance from Isaac Hayes, The Staple Singers, The Bar-Kays, Kim Weston, Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas, Albert King and more.

At a very young age, Goodloe knew that he would be a musician. Strumming to the music of Wes Montgomery, George Benson, B.B King and any other artist or group that would capture his ear and heart, these musicians, among many others inspired him greatly. As a self-taught musician and Denver native, U.S. Army Veteran, Goodloe attended Thomas Jefferson High School, where he received a music scholarship to Paul Quinn (formerly Bishop College) in Dallas, Texas. He came from a family that also had musical talents, including a grandfather who played guitar and a father who played the saxophone and guitar.
