One of the most popular and influential reggae artists of all time, Robert ‘Dandy’ Livingstone Thompson first made making his mark on the UK music scene in the sixties with a series of fine ska and rock steady 45s, most notably ‘Rudy, A Message To You’ and ‘Let’s Do Rock Steady’.

RUDEBOY is a film about the origins and ongoing love affair between Jamaican and British Youth culture. A film that explores the power of music to break down cultural barriers and change lives and the eventual birth of a modern multicultural society – all told through the prism of one the most iconic record labels in history, TROJAN RECORDS. Combining archive footage, freshly shot interviews and drama – RUDEBOY tells the story of Trojan Records by placing it at the heart of a cultural revolution that unfolded in the council estates and shanty towns of the late 60’s and 70’s.

His American Decca albums sold millions of copies and brought him four gold records in America alone. In 2023 Bert Kaempfert would have celebrated his 100th birthday, for this special occasion a 24-CD box set collects his American Decca albums recorded between 1958 – 1970, an era filled with many super-hits from Kaempfert’s pen, such as “Wonderland By Night”, “A Swingin’ Safari”, “Spanish Eyes”, „Danke Schoen“, “Sweet Maria”, “Strangers In The Night”, „L.O.V.E.“, and “The World We Knew”. The BERT KAEMPFERT DECCA COLLECTION features 24 albums in an attractively designed box. The individual albums are housed in paper sleeves with the iconic original Decca covers, which exude the flair of those years with their colorful lifestyle motifs. In addition to the complete original albums, the BERT KAEMPFERT DECCA COLLECTION contains more than 35 bonus tracks as well as the worldwide CD premiere of the album “Pete Fountain Plays Bert Kaempfert”, which the famous clarinetist recorded with the Kaempfert Orchestra in 1967. A detailed booklet tells the extraordinary story of the German musician who conquered the world and wrote music history.

Trojan Mod Reggae Box Set is a 3CD box set compilation, highlighting a small portion of the Trojan Records discography, exploring their mod reggae section. It features original tracks by John Holt, Lee Perry, The Skatalites, Jimmy Cliff and many more. The box was released in 2002.

Long before Britain’s skinhead sub-culture embraced the dynamic sounds of Jamaican reggae in the late 1960s, their predecessors, the mods, took ska to their hearts. From the early ‘60s through to the summer of love, ska and its successor, rock steady, provided a regular portion of the mod's musical diet, with Britain’s young stylists eagerly consuming records released by a small group of independent labels, whose number included Island, Blue Beat and Doctor Bird.
