La finta giardiniera ("The Pretend Garden-Girl"), K. 196, is an Italian opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mozart wrote it in Munich in January 1775 when he was 18 years old and it received its first performance on January 13 at the Salvatortheater in Munich. There is debate over the authorship of the libretto; the current belief is that it was written by Giuseppe Petrosellini. In 1780 Mozart converted the opera into a German Singspiel called Die Gärtnerin aus Liebe (also Die verstellte Gärtnerin), which involved rewriting some of the music. Until a copy of the complete Italian version was found in the 1970s, the German translation was the only known complete score.

“Anima Eterna’s stunning playing in the tuttis is perfectly balanced with the fluent playing of Immerseel” Gramophone Magazine
This set of Mozart's concertos for solo piano, recorded in 1990 and 1991, was one of the earlier widely publicized traversals of the Mozart cycle to be performed on historical instruments, in this case a modern copy of a Viennese Walter fortepiano. The chief virtue of the set is that Belgian fortepianist Jos van Immerseel and his Anima Eterna ensemble work together in extremely well-coordinated readings.

discography of thrash metal legend from Switzerland

Coroner was a Swiss technical thrash metal band from Zurich. They garnered relatively little attention outside of Europe. They combined elements of thrash, progressive rock, jazz, and industrial metal with suitably gruff vocals that have put them at times in a death metal camp[citation needed]. They did not completely fall into any of those categories but integrated influences from them while some defined their style. With their increasingly complex style of progressive rock-infused thrash, they are often labeled as "the Rush of thrash metal" by music critics.
Coroner's sound then progressed and the production became more refined, resulting in the more progressive No More Color, Mental Vortex and Grin albums.

Beethoven called Mozart's Requiem "wild and terrible," and that's what we get in Harnoncourt's new recording. Ominous dread hangs from every note of the dark opening measures, the Rex tremendae and Confutatis are driven with terrifying strength, and the supplications of the Lacrimosa, with their weeping stabbings of the orchestra, are freighted with emotional power.

Without doubt, the recordings of Tangerine Dream have made the greatest impact on the widest variety of instrumental music during the 1980s and '90s, ranging from the most atmospheric new age and space music to the harshest abrasions of electronic dance. Founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese in Berlin, the group has progressed through a full three dozen lineups (Froese being the only continuous member with staying power) and four distinct stages of development: the experimentalist minimalism of the late '60s and early '70s; stark sequencer trance during the mid- to late '70s, the group's most influential period; an organic form of instrumental music on their frequent film and studio work during the 1980s; and, finally, a more propulsive dance style, which showed Tangerine Dream with a sound quite similar to their electronic inheritors in the field of dance music.

Nikolaus Harnoncourt was one of the pioneers of the period performance movement of baroque music. When he later widened his scope to encompass the Vienna classics and romantic music he brought with him some of the experiences from earlier periods. The results have often been refreshing, sometimes controversial, hardly ever dull. The present recording of Die Zauberflöte, made almost 22 years ago is not entirely free from idiosyncrasies, some of which are truly illuminating…
