A quite fantastic record where buddy goes for a modern almost rock sound with wha wha guitars and electric keyboards and a funky style with his drumming , some great material as well from his band members. In late 1973, the Buddy Rich big band still featured the explosive drummer in prime, competitive form. The orchestra's key soloist during the era was Pat LaBarbera (doubling on tenor and soprano); guitarist Joe Beck also has a spot on "Big Mac." The charts (by Ernie Wilkins, John LaBarbera, Manny Albam, Greg Hopkins and Don Menza) for this album emphasize hard-driving swing, with the highlights including "Nuttville," "Senator Sam" and Menza's memorable "Time Check."
This short-lived psychedelic pop outfit was formed in the UK at the end of the 60s. Featuring Gillies Buchan (guitar/vocals), Edward Jones (bass/vocals), David McNiven (clarinet) and John Romsey (drums), the group was originally known as Skin but did not record as such. Human Beast signed to Decca Records in 1970 and made their debut with Volume One (Instinct). Though it sold poorly at the time, it has subsequently become the subject of collector’s interest. Typical of its contents were songs with expansive titles such as ‘Brush With The Midnight Butterfly’, ‘Reality Presented As An Alternative’ and ‘Appearance Is Everything Style Is A Way Of Living’. Fittingly, each featured similarly ponderous lyrics.
Theriomorphic is a melodic death metal band from Portugal, and this is their 2nd album. When I say melodic death metal, I'm not trying to infer they sound like the more common Scandinavian style, but these guys are more of a straight up death metal band with a melodic edge.
DevilDriver tear their way through heavy metal again with Beast, the band's fifth album, which is an exorcism of animalistic, primal hooks, metal percussion and propulsive thrashing. With Beast, DevilDriver ventured into new territory: the grooves are catchier than ever, but there's an intricacy and taut technicality to them, representative of an angrier musical monster.
To celebrate his 30th anniversary as a professional drummer, acclaimed hard rock/heavy metal drummer Mike Terrana (MASTERPLAN, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, AXEL RUDI PELL, METALIUM, RAGE) will release a new DVD, entitled "The Rhythm Beast - In Session", on September 24, 2007

Headless Beast from Ulm are one of those acts that bring here as a first album one hell of an ambitious work on the market and without a label in the background. Starting from the pretty Markus Vesper cover with the band mascot, the headless horseman who really crystal clear and beautiful massive production of Vagelis Maranis (SUICIDAL ANGELS, ARRYAN PATH SAIDIAN, NOCTE OBDUCTA, WINTER'SVERGE) on the well-thought songs were really hard to be worked and created a more than impressive album that is absolutely competitive.
When a metal band features 2 ex members of Venom, one of whom was in the original line up then you can expect full on metal. Original member Mantas on guitar and Tony “demoltion man” Dolan on vocals/bass released their debut album Hell To The Holy in March 2012, a real fan pleaser and received some great reviews. On drum duties was Antton Lant but his departure has left the door open for JXN who plays on the follow up album Crucified…
