Theriomorphic is a melodic death metal band from Portugal, and this is their 2nd album. When I say melodic death metal, I'm not trying to infer they sound like the more common Scandinavian style, but these guys are more of a straight up death metal band with a melodic edge.
The Number of the Beast is a classic heavy metal album by Iron Maiden, which has been covered several times by Dream Theater. Dream Theater released one of these performances of the album as an Official Bootleg through YtseJam Records.
Based out of the hard rock-rich Finnish capital city, Helsinki's Battle Beast specializes in no-holds-barred, mace to the face, vintage European power metal. Originally formed in 2008, the band underwent a few lineup changes before settling on guitarists Anton Kabanen and Juuso Soinio, drummer Pyry Vikki, bass player Eero Sipilä, keyboard player Janne Björkroth, and powerhouse female vocalist Nitte Valo. They inked a record deal with Finnish label Hype Records in 2010 and issued their debut album, Steel, the following year. The record did well regionally, and eventually caught the ear of Nuclear Blast, which reissued the album internationally in 2012.
Cruelty and the Beast is the third studio album by English extreme metal band Cradle of Filth. It is a concept album based on the legend of the Hungarian "blood countess" Elizabeth Báthory. The album features guest narration on certain passages by Ingrid Pitt in character as Báthory; a role she first played in the Hammer film Countess Dracula in 1971.The limited Celtic Cross edition didn't include the last two tracks, but contained 5 bonus tracks
Titled Dark Connection, the upcoming album from the Finnish power metal band is the follow-up to 2019’s From Hell With Love and is scheduled to be released in October this year, via Nuclear Blast Records.
"Put the beast out of mind" is the 2nd album by Birmingham, Alabama post rockers Glories. In a genre that seem's to have it's fair share of dross, and mediocre acts, Glories somehow manage to forge their own path in post rock with dreamy soundscapes, and while not altogether different to other well known bands, the feeling of it being strangly familiar, but strinkly different is part of it's appeal.
The opening track "Crowns" is one of those songs that instantly grabs you, and it sets the tone for whats to come, with it's gentle guitar melody, which eases into it's progression, at a steady speed, before reaching it's ultimate climatic conculsion…
Finnish metal band Battle Beast are back with their third album with the UK release being the same day the band play London alongside Sabaton and Delain. Singer Noora Louhimo has a great voice – really powerful and perfectly suited to a traditional heavy metal style, but also capable of handling the softer parts as easily as she handles the screams. The album starts with “Lionheart” with Noora Louhimo’s voracious vocals reminiscent of those of Lita Ford. The song was written to be in emulated in Guitar Hero…. “Touch In The Night” introduces us to a retro upbeat 80’s ballad pattern, which trickles through to “The Black Swordsman”, “Sea Of Dreams” and “Angel Cry”…
Originally released in May 1998, Cradle of Filth’s heavy metal classic, ‘Cruelty and the Beast’ is regarded as one of the milestones in the Gothic Black Metal genre. Now 21 years later this lustfully dark masterpiece has been wickedly remixed and remastered by Grindstone Studio’s Scott Atkins and will be reissued on 1st November 2019 through legendary UK label Music For Nations.
