Glasswork is a progressive rock band from Málaga (Spain). The sound that Glasswork tries to create is inspired by some 70s musicians like King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Mike Oldfield, Triana, etc, and some other actual bands like Tool, Astra or Opeth, among a huge list of prog rock and metal bands.
"Metabolé" revolves around change: as a difference, as an evolution, as a story, as a biography, as a repetition… also as a forgetfulness. Divided into musical sections, it narrates a kind of events and thoughts that give an account of musicians' reflections.
A French rock band Gepetto was founded by George Pinilla (the founder of George's Shop DVD and Video Store) as almost a one-man project with some musical friends / collaborators. His debut creation "From Heaven To The Stars …", obviously inspired by lots of progressive rock (especially Neo-Prog) vanguards, has been released in May 2016 via a French distributor Musea Records.
Phillips' Great Pianists of the 20th Century issue has gotten a lot of publicity in the ten or so years since it has been released. In a musical niche suffering from falling revenues, it was a decent seller. But it left many connoisseurs disappointed, as the quality was limited to the fancy packaging.
Isaac Albéniz's Suite Iberia took the composer some four years to complete, finishing it only shortly before his death. Consisting of 12 dance movements spread across four "notebooks", Iberia is a work culminating a career of capturing the essence of Spanish music and folklore. Successful performance of the suite relies on the performer having an innate and unwavering understanding of the Spanish musical idiom, exquisite detail, and nuance of ornamentation, and the ability to savor every note and every chord.
