Thrillington is an album produced by English musician Paul McCartney, under the pseudonym Percy "Thrills" Thrillington. It was released in April 1977 in the UK and in May 1977 in the US. It is an instrumental covers album of Paul and Linda McCartney's 1971 album Ram. Recorded in June 1971, the album was shelved upon the formation of Wings, and was not released for nearly six years. When Thrillington was finally issued, it did not attract much attention, and did not chart. McCartney initially kept his involvement with the project a secret; nevertheless, the project's nature and the rather bizarre pseudonym chosen for the credited artist led the few contemporary reviewers who wrote about Thrillington to conclude that "Percy Thrillington" was in fact McCartney working incognito. McCartney formally revealed himself to be Percy Thrillington in 1989, and the following year also admitted to being "Clint Harrigan", who wrote the album's liner notes.

Cheap Trick has developed a singular imagery, these proponents of an energetic power pop are a bit the Good, the Brute, the Ugly and the Funny of rock. The good Robin Zander (vocals), the ugly Tom Petersson (bass), the brute Bun E. Carlos (drums) and the funny Rick Nielsen (guitar). Cheap Trick has the immense merit of having completed a career of 30 years of success, without deviating from its guideline. Cheap Trick at Budokan in 1979 is the best power pop album recorded in public, while Rockford in 2006 confirms that Cheap Trick is alive and well.

Devo's Hardcore documents the group's beginning as pre-Punk outcasts in the fertile Akron, Ohio, underground Rock scene. Brothers Mothersbaugh (Mark, Bob and Jim) and Brothers Casale (Jerry and Bob) along with drummer Alan Myers soon whipped up an otherworldly brand of 'devolved blues'. Recorded on various four-track machines and in tiny studios, basements and garages between 1974-1977, Hardcore reveals their strikingly clear vision: rock 'n' roll stripped bare of its collective cool and jerked back into propaganda fit for post-modern man. It's no surprise that these transmissions would soon catch the eye and ear of Brian Eno, who later produced their landmark 1978 debut album.
