In te reo Māori (the Māori language), “waiata” is the word for song. And in celebration of Waiata Anthems Week, which coincides with New Zealand’s annual Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week), Lorde has re-recorded five songs from her third album, Solar Power (Te Ao Mārama), in te reo Māori.

The Fixx's debut album, Shuttered Room, suffers from inconsistent and unmelodic songwriting, but producer Rupert Hine helps turn the group's generic new wave into engaging synth pop. Even with Hine's support, only a couple of tracks ("Red Skies," "Stand or Fall," "Shuttered Room") stand out, yet the band's clean, mechanical attack makes the record enjoyable.

Snapshots, Eleanor McEvoy's third studio album, originally released Columbia Records in 1999. McEvoy's primary goal was to make Snapshots her most song-oriented album to date. Toward that goal, McEvoy hooked up with producer Rupert Hine (who worked with Stevie Nicks, Tina Turner, Suzanne Vega, and Duncan Sheik). This is McEvoy's only album on which she does not play violin. The extensive use of drum loops on the album was a complete change in style from McEvoy's previous work. Columbia Records had not been prepared for these changes and not long after the release of Snapshots McEvoy was dropped; her subsequent recordings were on independent labels.

Sides is officially the third (but technically the fourth) solo album from former Genesis guitarist Anthony Phillips. It was released in 1979 by Passport Records. For a limited period it was sold bundled with a complimentary copy of his Private Parts and Pieces album. This album was produced by Rupert Hine and intended for a mainstream audience. On the original LP, side one showcased shorter pop songs, while side two highlighted longer, more progressive pieces. Genesis crew members Dan Owen and Dale Newman provide vocals on some tracks. Peter Cross did the artwork for the album.
