From the storied collaboration of Robert Zemeckis and Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Contact, The Polar Express) comes the devilishly fun 1992 horror–comedy score, Death Becomes Her. Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn star as a feuding movie star and novelist, (with Bruce Willis caught in the middle as a plastic surgeon), as a miracle potion offering eternal youth goes off the rails: it continues to work even after death, allowing for ghoulish and groundbreaking visual effects as the characters try to maintain appearances despite their bodies being hopelessly mutilated.

She's Having a Baby was the last in a series of 1980s coming-of-age movies written and usually directed by John Hughes, following Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), Pretty in Pink (1986), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and Some Kind of Wonderful (1987). In the earlier films, Hughes had focused on high school, but She's Having a Baby traced the lives of a young couple from marriage to the birth of their first child. It was a comedy-drama examining American middle-class mores in the '80s, and Stewart Copeland's score matched its tone, while such musical inclusions as the male lead character's labored attempt at procreation to the tune of Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang" added humorous elements.

50 First Dates is the 2004 soundtrack to the motion picture starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Released on 3 February, 2004, the CD features exclusive music by Jason Mraz, Mark McGrath, Wyclef Jean, will.i.am & Fergie and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, who released a song on this disc under a pseudonym she used once here as Nicole Kea.
