Electric Woman marks the international solo debut of Italian recording artist Eliana Cargnelutti and once again shows Ruf Records' willingness to think outside the box. The project brings together unique talents from diverse genres and different corners of the world, including acclaimed American bluesman Albert Castiglia, who produced, and rock and metal specialist Timo Rotten, who recorded and mixed the album in his native Germany. It features veteran all-rounders Jamie Little (drums), Roger Inniss (bass) and John Ginty (keyboards) and was mastered by Grammy winner David Farrell (Irma Thomas, Royal Southern Brotherhood) in New Orleans.

This year will see Big Legal Mess Records release his label debut ‘Super Spirit’ in addition to a performance at the Newport Folk Festival. He has already played at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival earlier this year and Lincoln Center Out-Of-Door last year. The artist behind a series of in-demand 45s from that era, Sam was also a regular on 1960s soul TV program Night Train. eMusic called him “a true maverick.”

Jennifer Porter is an award-winning singer, actor and screenwriter. A musician's musician blessed with a beautiful voice, Jennifer has performed a repertoire that spans from Jazz and Blues to Country and Opera. She has sung with Classical and Jazz Orchestras, including the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra. Though trained as an opera singer and classical pianist, she considers herself a Roots Musician at heart, as she began playing piano at age five after sneaking out of bed to watch a boogie-woogie piano-player named Maxine perform at one of her grand-parents notorious cocktail parties. Jennifer is still most at home sitting at the piano and singing while banging out an old Blues tune in a red-hot 88 style.
