Back to the 80's: The Long Versions is a compilation album released by Sony Music in 2002. The album features extended versions of some of the most popular hits of the 1980s. The album includes classics such as Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever", Falco's "Jeanny (Part 1)", Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light", Prince and The Revolution's "Purple Rain", Simple Minds' "Belfast Child", Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart", Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's "Joan of Arc (Maid of Orleans)", Europe's "The Final Countdown" and Yes' "Owner of a Lonely Heart".

Number One Party Compilation: 70's 80's is a 2CD compilation featuring fantastic dance music from the 1970's and 1980's. It consists of what is called a bonus disc consisting of a "Disco 80 Megamix". This was released by Italian label Atlantis.

Rhino Presents 80 Smash Hits Of The 80s contains the defining tracks of the decade and features some of the biggest hits from artists including A-Ha, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Chaka Khan, Dexys Midnight Runners and many more.

After the release of 1982's "Livin' in the New Wave", André Cymone wrote and produced four songs that appeared on Evelyn "Champagne" King's "Face to Face", including "Teenager," a Top 30 Billboard Black Singles hit. For his second solo album, Cymone put aside his one-man band approach and utilized his touring group. Guitarist Bobby Dean (three songs) and drummer John "Bam Bam" Morgan (two songs), along with keyboardists Craig Thomas, André Cumne, and Linda Rennae (Cymone's sister), all contributed, though electronic gear is so dominant that the material actually sounds more like the work of one or two individuals with occasional background vocals.

We have already included more than 150 tracks on the CDs of the 1980 Yearbook, the 80-84 Final Chapter, and their extras so far in our appreciation of the year… Those tracks were generally the bigger hits of the year, with their chart achievement a factor in their inclusion – however – that’s not the whole singles story of the year, and our celebration of 1980 wouldn’t be complete without shining a light on some of the years’ singles that have been compiled much less frequently over the years. Welcome to THE VAULT for 1980…

La colección “Una historia del pop y el rock en España”, editada por el sello RTVE Música y que tanto éxito ha alcanzado en sus dos primeras entregas dedicadas a las décadas de los 60 y los 70, repasa ahora en un nuevo volumen “Los 80”, una de las más brillantes y prolíficas en cuanto a grandes canciones de la historia de nuestra música pop. José Ramón Pardo y José María Iñigo han vuelto a sumergirse en un mar de canciones y recuerdos para rescatar la esencia de un período que conocen bien; han seleccionado cuarenta canciones indispensables olvidándose de discusiones genéricas para centrarse en lo esencial, que se hayan conservado en nuestra memoria como el reflejo de su época.
