Nick Lowe and His Noise To Go rocked Cleveland's Agora Ballroom on February 10, 1982, adding live fury to some of Nick's most celebrated songs. The band rolls through a version of Rockpile's "Pet You and Hold You," followed by an electric performance of "Cracking Up" from Nick's Labour of Lust. The show concludes with a rockin' rendition of Nick's most enduring composition, "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding?"

CLASSIC FESTIVAL APPEARANCE BY LOWE, EDMUNDS & ROCKPILE IN 1980 • This newly discovered radio broadcast recording presents one of the early afternoon highlights of the festival, Rockpile. • The invigorating sound of Rockpile was based on the strengths of Lowe and Edmunds, who shared a love of late 1950s/early 1960s pop and rock & roll, but who had distinctively different approaches. Edmunds was clearly a retro-rocker, obsessed with the sound of Sun Studios and Phil Spector. Lowe, on the other hand, preferred things loose and ragged and was primarily interested in capturing raw energy and passion. It is this approach that connected Lowe to the punk and new wave scene in England.

The limited edition EP features two new originals from Nick, "Lay It On Me Baby" and "Don't Be Nice to Me," plus a cover of Dorsey Burnette's "Here Comes That Feeling" (made famous by Brenda Lee). Nick's wordplay and razor-sharp lyrics shine bright with the twang-friendly tones of Los Straitjackets behind him.

COODER AND LOWE BACK TOGETHER AFTER ALMOST 30 YEARS Their first collaboration since the early 1990s when, alongside John Hiatt and Jim Keltner, they were, collectively, one half of the short-lived, supergroup Little Village, Ry Cooder and Nick Lowe s tour of Japan, Australia and New Zealand in 2009 was something of a revelation. Performing cuts written by each, a number of choice cover versions, plus the co-composed, One Of These Days, You re Gonna Pay , the duo s show at The Orchard Hall in Tokyo on 11th November was possibly the finest concert these two mavericks performed together during this welcome jaunt. Featured in its entirety on this new CD and available here for the first time, this broadcast recording is certain to become a must-have release for fans of this pair of old - perhaps - but quite perfectly matured, timers!

EXCEPTIONAL BROADCAST RECORDING FROM AN OCCASIONAL QUARTET John Hiatt’s Bring The Family album, released in 1987, introduced the veteran minstrel to a new generation of fans. Choc- Full of supreme compositions, it also featured one-hell of a line-up. Hiatt of course did most of the singing and strummed a sad acoustic, the mighty Ry Cooder handled electric guitars and a little sitar on one number, Nick Lowe played his signature bass and the man who banged the drum for everyone from Bob Dylan to The Manhattan Transfer, , the wholly underrated Jim Keltner, kept time superbly. The easy way this quartet clicked was what led to the album Little Village in 1992, but the group’s one and only album together, while it didn’t take off commercially, certainly hasn’t dated since. In the album’s wake the Villagers hit the road; veterans to a man of the live circuit, the shows were a magnificent spectacle.
